Safeguarding in School

At Elton Church of England Primary School, the safeguarding of our children is our highest priority.  Staff and governors work tirelessly to ensure that children are safe from harm and know how to keep themselves safe.  Please use the links on the following page to view our related school policies, and for guidance in relation to safeguarding issues.

All staff employed by the school are safeguarding trained. Safeguarding is everybody's responsibility and our expectation is that any concerns, no matter how insignificant they may seem, are reported to the Safeguarding Team.

The school has a Safeguarding Team who oversee all areas of school life.  You can talk to any of them if you have a concern about your child or another child.  The Safeguarding Team at Elton comprises:

Claire Arnold, Headteacher, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Prevent Lead, Mental Health Lead

Lisa Beasley, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, Domestic Violence Lead

Jane Murphy, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, Online Safety Lead

Trisha Franklin, Governor with Responsibility for Safeguarding.
