Our Governing Body

Under the Instrument of Governance for a Voluntary Aided School, our Governing Body is comprised as follows:

  1.   x2 elected parent governors (x2 positions filled)
  2.   x1 Local Authority governor (position filled)
  3.   x1 headteacher governor (position filled)
  4.   x1 elected staff governor (position filled)
  5.   x7 foundation governors of which 1 is ex-officio and the remaining 6 are appointed by Ely Diocesan Board of Education in consultation with the PCC for the United Parish of Elton with Stibbington and Waternewton. (x2 positions filled, 2 pending = 3 vacancies)         

The role of the Governing Body is to preserve the following ethos:

" Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level.  The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.  It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils."
