Welcome to Elton Church of England Primary School. We are a small rural primary school on the Cambridgeshire/Peterborough border and home to approximately 130 pupils aged 4-11years.
Our school is one of the oldest Church of England schools in the Diocese of Ely, being founded under the wills of Jane and Frances Proby 1711 "to provide for the children of the Parish of Elton to be taught to read, write, cast accounts and the Catechism of the Church of England".
Today we are a thriving school serving Elton and the surrounding villages of Wansford, Water Newton, Stibbington, Haddon, Alwalton and Chesterton. We also serve communities from the wider areas of Hampton and the Ortons in Peterborough.
We currently have spaces available in EYFS, Year 1, Year 3 and Year 6 classes.
All the information you need to apply for a primary school place, including an electronic copy of the full admissions guide "First Steps, Admission to Primary School; a guide for parents", is available on the Cambridgeshire Local Authority website www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/admissions.
