Helping Hands

Our school has a real sense of community and we are  proud to welcome lots of parent volunteers who come and work with our children.

If you would like to become a volunteer in school, we would love to hear from you.  Due to the current situation however, we have temporarily stopped our volunteers in school programme (as per our Covid-19 risk assessment) but hope to welcome volunteers old and new, as soon as we are able.

Please note that all volunteers will be subject to a DBS check and will be expected to share our commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children. You can support the school by offering your skills on a regular basis, or by sharing any areas of expertise on various curriculum aspects or subjects throughout the year - we encourage as many "real-life" experiences for the children as possible. Please get in touch if you would like to add to the wide curriculum we offer, either during school or as an after-school club.

Further support is given by the Friends of Elton School (FOES) - please click here if you are able to volunteer any time at social and fundraising events throughout the year.  Of course, Covid-19 is posing a challenge with regards to our usual fundraising days,  so if you have any creative ideas and are able to think outside the box, please let the FOES team know.

Parents can also support the school through the role of School Governor - please click here to visit our Governor pages - by responding to requests for practical help, or by simply giving us your thoughts and views on how we can improve.
