Attendance

We are very proud of our whole school attendance record and believe that it demonstrates how happy children are to come into school.  A child with good attendance is invariably more settled, develops better relationships and makes much better progress than one with a lower attendance rate, and we are very appreciative of the support given by our school community in facilitating this, particularly with the uncertainty of the last couple of years.

If you know that your child is going to be absent, please contact the office and let us know as soon as possible.   If your child has suffered with sickness or diarrhoea, then we would ask you to keep them at home until they are clear for 48 hours (ie 2 days after their last bout of sickness).

If a child arrives outside the registration period, then please note they will be marked as absent for that session (morning or afternoon).

In line with our local cluster schools, we do not authorise absences for holidays or trips, and will only authorise absences in exceptional circumstances.  Please complete a holiday request form and return it to the headteacher.
