On the 23rd May 2025 we celebrated one of our favourite annual events, May Day.  

We started the day with a Rogation Service in church led by Rev Diane.

At the end of this service, we crowned our May Day King and Queen (always a year 2 child nominated by the children in years EYFS, Year 1, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6).

After that, the children and parents headed back to the school playground for the May Day dancing.  Years 2 and 6 performed 2 dances each around the maypole and the other year groups performed a variety of circle dances.

Everyone then headed to the school field, where we were joined by our new EYFS 2025 children and families for a Teddy Bears Picnic and the current year 5 class met their new EYFS buddies for the first time.
