Volunteers

Our school has a real sense of community, and we are proud to welcome lots of parent volunteers along with volunteers from our local community, who come and work with our children.

If you would like to become a volunteer in school, we would love to hear from you.

Please note that all volunteers will be subject to a DBS check and will be expected to share our commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children. You can support the school by offering your skills on a regular basis, or by sharing any areas of expertise on various curriculum aspects or subjects throughout the year - we encourage as many "real-life" experiences for the children as possible. Please get in touch if you would like to add to the wide curriculum we offer, either during school or as an after-school club.

If the thought of working with children does not appeal to you, but you would like to support the school in other ways - skills in a trade for example, or if you enjoy a spot of DIY, decorating or gardening) then there's always something on our to-do list, that you'd be able to help with.  Please get in touch!

Further support is given by the Friends of Elton School (FOES) - please click here if you are able to volunteer any time at social and fundraising events throughout the year.

Parents can also support the school through the role of School Governor - please click here to visit our Governor pages.

We also welcome you being involved in your child's learning: attending school events; giving us feedback on how you think we are doing and responding to requests for practical help.  This helps us to continue to evolve and improve and makes us a school that has genuine community ownership.
